Neil studied law at the University of Leicester and the College of Law. In 1985 he opened his own general practice in Cheshire before moving to London and heading up the property departments at firms in the City and West End including Magrath LLP and Sabir Selby LLP. Since qualifying, Neil has also worked for Coldham Shield & Mace, J Keith Park & Co, DM Landsman & Co and Ashalls.

Neil has undertaken a wide range of property work for a broad spectrum of clients including small, owner managed businesses, property developers, offshore companies and a FTSE 250 company with a property portfolio of over 500 properties. He has loyal client following which is increasing all the time. He has close links with a number of highly regarded property professionals including surveyors, rating experts and a Stamp Duty Land Tax mitigation adviser.

Neil has, in the recent past, advised on the purchase of a Championship football club’s ground and training ground.

With a background in general practice, Neil is well placed to identify issues that require referring to other legal specialists. In 1993 he was a runner up in the TSB Business of Law Awards.

Neil is also a Football Association registered lawyer and has, in the past, advised a number of high profile rugby league players, coaches and clubs (both amateur and professional). He has also been a director of golf’s now defunct European Seniors Challenge Tour.

He is a member of the Law Society Property Group and the North London Chamber of Commerce and in his spare time enjoys playing golf, has completed three London Marathons and is an avid follower of French rugby team, Stade Francais.
